Sunekos.

Sunekos Treatment

Sunekos London is a cosmetic injectable treatment with hyaluronic acid and amino acids.

Here at the London Lip Clinic, we are pleased to be able to offer Sunekos Treatment to our clients. Sunekos Treatment is effective for improving the appearance of ageing skin. With age, the skin loses its integrity and lines and wrinkles form. The skin starts to thin and becomes more fragile. This typically causes issues with dryness and dehydration, and this is where Sunekos Treatment comes in.

In the last decade, there has been significant advancement in injectable skin treatments. These treatments are able to revitalise your skin from within, providing reinforcement and rejuvenation. Since we started offering this treatment, we have been truly amazed by the results we have been able to help our clients to achieve.

Sunekos Treatment is the ideal solution when you want to restore the skin in order to maintain a more youthful appearance. Although Sunekos is injectable, it differs considerably from the filler treatments of the past. The formula combines Hyaluronic Acid with Amino Acids and is therefore able to regenerate the Extra Cellular Matrix of the skin. The result is plumper skin which is deeply hydrated. The treatment reduces the appearance of the wrinkles by boosting natural Elastin and Collagen production deep inside your skin. Dermal fillers still remain the choice of treatment for major volume loss.

If you have thin, loose, crepey skin which lacks volume then this treatment is going to be perfect for you. When there is a loss of plumpness in the dark eye periocular area Sunekos Treatment offers the ideal solution. For the face and neck, the treatment is perfect for restoring sagging, ageing skin to its former glory.

Schedule your SUNEKOS TREATMENT consultation or treatment at our Harley Street, London clinic by booking online today. We welcome patients from all over London and nearby areas of London.

What is Sunekos?

Sunekos is an injectable treatment containing SIX amino acids and Hyaluronic acid. It works by stimulating the fibroblasts in the skin to produce a complete mix of collagen and elastin.

The 6 Amino Acids:

glycine
L-proline
L-leucine
L-lysine HCI
L-valine
L-alanine

This intradermal treatment with Sunekos 200 corrects and protects the dermis from the signs of ageing. Sunekos is a great option for people who wish to maintain a more natural look or those who do not want dermal fillers. Or as an add-on to your treatments to improve the quality of your skin.

Sunekos can treat various indications, including; loss of tone, skin aging, and premature skin ageing, skin dryness, solar elastosis, acne scarring, sun damage, dark circles under the eyes, and fine lines and wrinkles.

The only similarity between Sunekos and modern dermal fillers is that it contains Hyaluronic Acid. This preparation does not plump the skin in the same way as dermal fillers. Instead, it is able to affect the skin on a cellular level. What this means is that the skin is then able to heal and mend itself. This effect is provided by the Hyaluronic Acid and Amino Acids present in Sunekos. These are integral for maintaining youthful skin.

What is the difference between Sunekos 1200 and 200?

Sunekos 1200 acts in a physiological way. Due to its ability to attract water it is common to see improvements after the first session.

Sunekos or Profhilo

Sunekos uses a combination of Hyaluronic Acid and amino acids, the injections help by thickening the skin and stimulating the elastin. Especially effective in areas such as beneath the eyes to reduce dark circles, eye bags and hollow eyes.

Profhilo uses 100% Hyaluronic Acid and is injected just below the skin’s surface which disperses quickly meaning there is no need for massage of the area post treatment to get rid of lumps or nodules. Hydration of the skin is improved, fine lines can disappear and the skin is tighter and smoother than before.

Can you have Sunekos and Profhilo Treatment together?

In our opinion there is no reason why you can not have both the treatments one after another.

What can be treated with Sunekos?

The Sunekos treatment is perfect for reducing the signs of ageing on the face and body. Typical areas which benefit from the treatment are:

  • Areas of the face and neck
  • Hands and arms
  • Legs and knees
  • Cleavage

Am I suitable for the Treatment?

This treatment is ideal if:

  • You care experiencing skin creppiness.
  • You have lines and wrinkles.
  • Your skin lacks its former elasticity.
  • You have thinning skin.
  • Your skin is dehydrated.
  • You have acne scars.
  • You have sun damage.
  • You would like to turn back the clock for a younger appearance.

Sunekos Before and After

How does it work and what does it do?

Sunekos regenerates the Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) of your skin and deeply hydrates and plumps the treated tissue. This leads to ‘dermal biogenesis’. A reduction in the severity of your wrinkles, hydration to both the superficial and deep layers of your skin, a desirable volumising effect and a dramatic boost to your elastin and collagen.

The best results of Sunekos Treatment will start to show between 2 and 6 months after the first session. You’ll find that there is a noticeable improvement after your first session. The skin will feel plumper and wrinkles will be reduced. These results will get better over time. Sunekos will enable you to have instantaneous results as well as longer term, lasting skin rejuvenation.

The treatment is able to rejuvenate the skin from the inside-out. It’s responsible for stimulating hydration which softens fine lines and wrinkles. As natural processes in the skin are stimulated, the results will happen gradually, over time. This treatment offers the benefit of little downtime. There are few side-effects which are hardly noticeable.

Sunekos Treatment

Sunekos works by stimulating the fibroblasts in the skin to encourage it to produce a complete mix of collagen and elastin, restoring the vibrancy, youthful glow and health of the skin in a course of 3 treatment sessions every 10 to 14 days.

How long does the treatment take?

Each Sunekos treatment take 20 to 30 mins to administer.

How is Sunekos administered?

Sunekos is an injectable treatment that uses a patented formula, combining amino acids with hyaluronic acid.

Sunekos comes in 2 formulations – Sunekos 200 (suitable if you have less visible wrinkles) and Sunekos 1200 (if you have more advanced visible signs of ageing). They can also be used in combination to provide outstanding results.

You will have 3 sessions each between 10 to 14 days apart. Rupesh will inject in several points, surrounding your area of concern. We usually use a needle for Sunekos 200 & a cannula for Sunekos 1200.

Who will administer Sunekos?

Rupesh administers all injectable treatments at London Lip Clinic.

Does Sunekos hurt?

You may feel a pinprick sensation as the skin is injected. We apply special numbing cream beforehand to lessen the pain. A micro cannula is also used to administer the Sunekos to certain areas, such as the forehead, neck, and cheeks.

How many treatments do you need?

You may start to see improvement in skin hydration 10 days after the first treatment. A full Sunekos treatment consists of 3 injection sessions, each approximately 10 to 14 days apart.

How effective is Sunekos?

Clinical trials of Sunekos have shown that hyaluronic acid products on their own can cause bio revitalisation in the skin, stimulating fibroblasts, but the addition of the amino acids is like adding extra fuel to a fire, their presence stimulates and directly targets the ECM fibroblasts which is important when it comes to rebuilding the dermal layers of the skin.

Participants in trials reported improvements in wrinkles, skin plumpness and hydration, as well as a lifting effect.

How long does it take to work?

You’ll start to see the benefits of Sunekos as soon as 7 – 14 days after treatment, which will improve over time. The results usually peak at three months.

How long does it last for?

Sunekos treatment lasts generally for six months. Everyone is different and it depending on area you have treated, your lifestyle and your metabolic rate; these factors usually influence the longevity of your results.

The guidelines are to have one maintenance treatment four to seven months after your full treatment.

Sunekos Side Effects and Safety

Sunekos Common side effects:

  • Red, tight. itchy skin and swelling after the treatment.
  • The treated area may feel tender and firm for up to eight weeks after your treatment.
  • Bruising at the site of injections is very common.

Adverse reaction awareness:

Pain and discharge are NOT normal. As Sunekos is not cross linked it should not cause any occulsion.

How Does Sunekos Work?

Clinical trials have been able to show that the Hyaluronic Acid (HA) contained in Sunekos treatment is responsible for activating bio-revitalisation of the skin from within. This results in a more youthful appearance as the skin becomes firmer, smoother and plumper after being treated.

Sunekos utilises HA in combination with Amino Acids. These are able to stimulate the Extra Cellular Matrix deep in the skin. The dermis of the skin is then rebuilt in a very natural way through having the treatment performed.

Hyaluronic Acid can be found as naturally occurring in the human body. This compound is able to absorb water to provide the skin with a supple, natural and youthful look. As part of the ageing process, lines and wrinkles appear as the body produces less of the Hyaluronic Acid than it did when you were younger. Sunekos puts the Hyaluronic Acid back into the skin restoring it to its former glory.

Amino Acids help to build younger looking skin from the inside-out. The formula aids in regenerating the skin as the Extra Cellular Matrix deep inside the skin is rebuilt. Through treatment, fibroblasts start producing Collagen and Elastin. This repairs and rebuilds the tiny cells which make up the skin. Sunekos is responsible for renewing the skin, leaving it hydrated and smooth with a youthful glow.

Sunekos is available in 2 different preparations depending on your skin needs. Sunekos 200 treats the early signs of ageing whilst Sunekos 1200 is used as well when there are more advanced wrinkles and sagging skin. If you’re not sure which treatment is right for you don’t worry too much about it at the moment. Your individual needs will be fully assessed at your free consultation here at the London Lip Clinic.

Treatment with Sunekos is administered in 4 sessions, each of which is a week to 10 days apart. Even though you’ll experience some of the benefits soon after the first application, your course of treatment is not completed until the last session is over. Each session takes about half an hour to an hour to complete. Any discomfort you feel during this non-surgical procedure will be very mild as a numbing cream is used before the treatment begins.

Pre-Appointment Care for Sunekos

It’s important to avoid taking certain medications in order to avoid unnecessary bruising. You’ll need to stop taking the following with the consent of your doctor. For 7 days before your treatment avoid taking Ibuprofen and Aspirin.

You also need to avoid having laser treatments and chemical peels for 6 weeks before your appointment with us. Its’ also recommended to avoid taking Ginko Biloba and Ginseng for 7 days before treatment with Sunekos.

Post-Appointment Care for Sunekos

For the times specified post treatment, you’ll need to make sure that you follow the guidelines outlined below:

  • Avoid wearing makeup for 12 hours post treatment.
  • Use sunscreen for 2 weeks after treatment.
  • Remain in an upright position for 6 hours after treatment.
  • Use a gentle cleanser to clean your face and use warm water to rinse it off for the first day after treatment.
  • Make good use of moisturisers containing Hyaluronic Acid and antioxidants after treatment. This will give your face good hydration and help to reduce any irritation you may have after treatment with Sunekos.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol use for 6 hours.
  • Avoid going swimming for 48 hours.
  • Avoid going to saunas for 14 days.
  • Avoid working out for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid going out in the sun. If you need to go out and it’s sunny outside, wear a hat and sun block for 2 weeks post treatment.
  • Avoid touching the area that was treated for 6 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid lying in a face down position for 6 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid taking Ibuprofen for 14 days after treatment.

After your treatment is complete you’ll find that there is very little evidence that you’ve had the procedure performed. In just a few hours, the skin is fully recovered. With all injectable treatments there is the risk of minor swelling and bruising where the needle went in.

Although positive changes will start to show after your first treatment, the best results will be seen after treatment number 4. You’ll need to consider having a maintenance treatment about every 6 months for maintaining the results.

The Process of Sunekos Treatment

Before Sunekos Treatment can start, we’ll discuss your aims and objectives with you and let you know if you’re a suitable candidate for this procedure. We’ll tell you about the therapeutic options open to you for achieving your skin goals. Prior to treatment with Sunekos, the area to be treated will be thoroughly cleaned, and the treatment areas will be marked out. Next, a numbing cream is applied to the area being treated. This takes about 15 minutes to start working before the procedure can begin.

Once the procedure starts, a fine needle and a cannula are used to inject the areas needing attention. During this procedure, facial veins are avoided to keep any bruising to a minimum. Each session can take between 30 and 60 minutes to complete.

Side-Effects of Sunekos Treatment

Commonly there are minimal side-effects associated with Sunekos Treatment. Typical minor Side-effects are slight bruising in the areas that received the treatment. If you do have side-effects like this it’s completely normal. We will be happy to hear from you here at the London Lip Clinic via telephone if you have any concerns after being treated with Sunekos.

Common Patient Concerns

The results you can expect to see from having this treatment are all associated with an anti-ageing effect. Skin texture and elasticity is greatly improved as wrinkles are reduced. The skin benefits from a deep hydration action. The appearance of any scars or stretch marks is greatly reduced. Your skin will feel smooth and look radiant.

You’ll experience an overall lifting and tightening effect in the treated areas. Your skin will have more volume and feel plumper. The appearance of deep wrinkles will be greatly improved, and you’ll have more defined contours.

There is no other treatment quite like Sunekos for producing these results. Instead of merely filling wrinkles, the treatment promotes the skin’s own Collagen and Elastin production. This aids the body in creating the most beautiful skin for itself from within. The dermal layers are rebuilt for a natural, younger appearance.

After treatment, your skin will be hydrated, smooth and radiant.

About Sunekos 1200

Contained in Sunekos 1200 are antioxidants and plumping effects which boost the effectiveness of Sunekos 200. In combination, both injectables are able to rejuvenate your skin, giving it a plumper appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sunekos is a very versatile product and can be used on the:

Face
Neck
Décolleté
Hands
Arms
Inner Thigh
Knees
Under-eye

Ageing presents in many ways on the face and isn’t just limited to lines and wrinkles or a loss of elasticity to the skin. As we age, skin will lose tone, becoming dry and uneven in texture, perhaps feeling rough. Skin can also suffer from changes in pigmentation or photo-damage which creates uneven patches of skin colour, or age spots, as well as dark under-eye circles. Exposure to sun is partly to blame but genetics, lifestyle choices and the natural pathway of getting older all play a part.

Sunekos is an injectable treatment that contains a patented formula of amino acids and hyaluronic acid, essential to skin laxity. It regenerates the skin from the inside-out by prompting the production of fibroblasts, which then instigates collagen and elastin production, for improved skin quality.

Sunekos 200 contains a low molecular weight HA and Sunekos 1200 is a medium molecular weight HA. The former can be used alone to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands and is great for younger people. If additional ‘cushioning’ is required in the case of lax, sagging skin or deeper lines and wrinkles, then the Sunekos 1200 can be combined to give extra scaffold support for the dermal biogenesis.

Sagging skin and severe wrinkles can be using Sunekos 200 and Sunekos 1200 in combination for a “cushion” technique.

Clinical trials have shown that hyaluronic acid products on their own  can cause biorevitalisation in the skin, stimulating fibroblasts, but  the addition of the amino acids is like adding extra fuel to a fire,  their presence stimulates and directly targets the ECM fibroblasts which  is important when it comes to rebuilding the dermal layers of the skin.  Participants in trials reported improvements in wrinkles, skin  plumpness and hydration, as well as a lifting effect.

After the initial 4 treatments (14 days apart) Rupesh recommends top up sessions every 6-9 months to maintain the results. We have found that with 6 monthly top up treatments the result just gets better and better as new collagen builds and builds.

SUNEKOS TREATMENT VISIBLE EFFECTS:

  • Anti-ageing action
  • Skin texture and elasticity improvement
  • Superficial wrinkles and expression lines reduction
  • Deep hydration
  • Improves the appearance of scars (including acne) and stretch marks
  • Promotes radiant and smooth skin

The Sunekos treatment involves a small number of injections with minimal discomfort or downtime. As with any injectable there is a small risk of bruising and mild swelling. Because this is purely made of hyaluronic acid and amino acids there is nothing in the product that can cause a reaction.

Intradermal treatment with Sunekos® 200 corrects and protects the dermis from the signs of aging. Sunekos is the only natural product in professional dermo-aesthetics that stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin, restoring elasticity and volume to the skin.

Sagging Skin and Severe Wrinkles are mainly caused by Loss of Volume. HA over 1 Mio Dalton protect fibroblasts and structural elements of the dermis, as a Free Radical “Scavenger”. It has antioxidant and “volumising” properties, boosting the consequent action of Sunekos 200.

There are two Sunekos protocol guidelines:

Sunekos® 200
Sunekos® 200 + 1200

1. Protocol one – Sunekos® 200 standard protocol

4 separate treatment sessions at 14 days apart.
1-2 maintenance treatments at 6 months.

Suitable for the younger skin and can also have a lifting effect. This protocol is also suitable to treat around the eyes such as for dark circles and bags, fine lines or ‘crows’ feet.

Effective as a treatment for forehead lines, neck and décolletage areas.

2.  Protocol two – Sunekos® 1200 protocol

4 separate treatment sessions at 14 days apart.
Same as above but with the additional product of the 1200 at the first treatment session.

1-2 maintenance treatments at 6 months.

Suitable for the mature skin (generally over 45) and for slender and have sunken skin. It is effective for improving the appearance of severe wrinkles and sagging skin mainly caused by loss of volume.

For the cheeks and hands this is an ideal treatment protocol.

It is possible to achieve subtle volume replacement in treated areas; however, results depend on where you have lost volume and to what degree. Sunekos is effective on areas of lost volume, such as the tear trough, however, it will not give you the volume replacement needed for concerns such as a cheek augmentation; you would achieve this with dermal fillers, for example.

A consultation is a vital part of your treatment process so that you can have your concerns assessed and matched with the most appropriate treatment(s) for you to consider.

Mild swelling and bruising are the most common potential side effects immediately following treatment. At London Lip Clinic you will only ever be treated by a medical professional with extensive experience and the skills to handle any possible side effects or complications.

Consultations are an important part of the treatment process in allowing you to understand the treatment and to establish if the benefits of the treatment are outweighed by any possible side effects. During a consultation, your characteristics, such as your area of concern and your medical status, will be assessed. Rupesh will be able to discuss whether this treatment is appropriate for you, as well as any suitable alternative treatments. He will discuss any possible side effects, questions you may have and any aftercare you should adhere to prior to you having treatment.

The level of discomfort is usually found to be mild and tolerable by patients. The most common feedback we receive is that the skin feels warm immediately following the injections. We understand that that each person’s tolerance to pain is different however and are happy to offer our patients additional local anaesthetic cream prior to the procedure should this be a concern of yours.

There are many similarities between Profhilo and Sunekos but, in our experience, Sunekos is generally better suited for skin with more advanced signs of ageing.

Both treatments are a new type of injectable treatment completely different from skin boosters, mesotherapy and dermal fillers; they trigger a process in the skin called bio-remodelling.

The Profhilo product contains high concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA) which deeply hydrates the treated tissue to help with signs of skin ageing and sagging skin as it stimulates your natural collagen and elastin production. Rupesh use Profhilo to refresh the skin, firm and smooth skin and give skin its’ ‘glow’ back.

Profhilo is used to treat the neck or mid to lower face only; the Profhilo protocol that’s followed enables the treatment to be best effective and is only used to treat those specific areas.

Usually, a single Profhilo treatment is made up of two separate sessions spaced approximately thirty days apart. Some people require a third session if their signs of ageing a more developed; this would be discussed upon assessment. Profhilo treatment is generally repeated after 6 months to maintain the results if desired.

The Sunekos product contains HA as well as powerful amino acids. Amino acids are proteins which help to firm and strengthen the skin whilst the HA deeply hydrates the treated tissue. Sunekos stimulates fibroblast activity in the Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) which results in new collagen and elastin being produced.

Although Sunekos contains hyaluronic acid, which is present in most modern, temporary dermal fillers, it differs in that it does not physically plump the skin, but creates a more natural result by communicating with the skin on an intercellular level so that it can heal and mend itself. This is due to the added amino acids present in Sunekos which are vital in the maintenance of healthy, youthful-looking skin.
