Your journey at London Lip Clinic begins with a comprehensive consultation with Rupesh Shah to assess your facial anatomy, skin quality and aesthetic goals. A personalised treatment plan will be created to ensure Radiesse® is the most suitable treatment for achieving natural-looking, long-lasting results. Clinical photographs may be taken to document your progress.

To prepare for your appointment:

  • Arrive with clean skin, free from make-up where possible.
  • Stay well hydrated before your treatment.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Where medically appropriate, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen and other blood-thinning medications or supplements for 5–7 days beforehand, as advised by your healthcare professional, to help minimise bruising.
  • Inform your practitioner if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have allergies, active skin infections or have recently undergone other facial treatments.
  • If you are prone to cold sores and are having treatment around the mouth, preventative antiviral medication may be recommended.

Your treatment will be performed by Rupesh Shah using advanced injection techniques to restore facial volume, enhance definition and stimulate your body’s natural collagen production.

During your appointment:

  • The treatment areas will be cleansed and carefully marked.
  • A topical anaesthetic may be applied if appropriate to maximise comfort.
  • Radiesse® is precisely injected using a needle or cannula, depending on the treatment area and desired result.
  • You may experience mild pressure or a slight stinging sensation, but the treatment is generally well tolerated.
  • Depending on the number of areas treated, the procedure usually takes 30–60 minutes.
  • You will be able to see immediate improvement in facial contour and volume, with further skin rejuvenation developing over the following months as collagen production increases.

Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately after treatment, with little or no downtime.

Following your treatment:

  • Mild redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur and usually settles within a few days.
  • Avoid touching or massaging the treated areas unless specifically instructed by your practitioner.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after treatment to help reduce swelling and bruising.
  • Continue using a daily broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 sunscreen to protect your skin.
  • Maintain good hydration and a healthy lifestyle to support collagen production.
