Where possible, avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment, as this may increase the likelihood of bruising. If medically appropriate, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for several days beforehand, unless these have been prescribed by your doctor.

Arrive with clean skin and no makeup around the mouth, and let Rupesh know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have any neuromuscular conditions or have received Botox treatment within the last three months.
