WHAT IS PROFHILO?

Profhilo is an injectable skin-remodeling treatment made from highly purified hyaluronic acid. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, it is not designed to add volume or reshape facial features. Instead, it spreads beneath the skin to deeply hydrate it and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

It is commonly used to:

To help achieve the best possible results:

  • Attend your consultation with clean, makeup-free skin where possible.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment to help minimise bruising.
  • If medically appropriate, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E) for a few days before treatment, following advice from your GP or prescribing clinician.
  • Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment.
  • Let Rupesh know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, or have recently undergone other aesthetic treatments.

Your appointment at London Lip Clinic typically takes around 30–45 minutes.

During your visit, Rupesh will:

  • Review your medical history and treatment goals.
  • Assess your skin and explain the expected results.
  • Cleanse the treatment area thoroughly.
  • Administer Profhilo using the recommended injection technique at carefully selected treatment points.
  • Provide detailed aftercare instructions before you leave.

Most patients experience only mild discomfort, and the treatment requires minimal downtime.

Following your Profhilo treatment:

  • Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours unless instructed otherwise.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid alcohol for the remainder of the day.
  • Refrain from applying makeup for at least 12 hours where possible.
  • Continue to drink plenty of water to support skin hydration.
  • Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or small bumps at the injection sites are normal and usually settle within 24–48 hours.
