AQUALYX – THE FAT LOSS TREATMENT SUMMARISED
How to get rid of Face & Body Fat
Aqualyx fat dissolving technology is a relatively recent innovative technique used in the management of stubborn fat sections in the body. With this invention, complex and bloody surgeries have been replaced by simple injections that are also very cost-effective. The process of AQUALYX TREATMENT works in dissolving fat pockets for customers who have tried to use the method of exercise and dieting.
Aqualyx has been successfully used for dealing with fat spots around the face or body where fat may have gathered. Some of these areas may include;
- Thighs, both outer and inner thigh areas
- Upper arm areas (also called bingo wings)
- Double chins and fat cheeks
Fat treated by Aqualyx is unlikely to return. The fat will be permanently gone as long as the patient keeps a healthy lifestyle and does not gain weight. Aqualyx is to be injected directly into the adipose tissue. The fat dissolving solution AQUALYX is directly injected into subcutaneous tissue using very thin, sharp cannulas (similar to needles). The treated fat cells will then be naturally broken down, by your body into fatty acids and excreted out of the body, through the kidneys.
Is the Aqualyx treatment suitable for everyone?
It is intended for people who have localised areas of stubborn fat, that despite a healthy diet and increased level of exercise. It is not to be treated as a weight loss solution but rather a treatment which can be used to improve and alter the contour of the body. It is not to be used when large amounts of fat are required to be removed, we would suggest you look at other surgical alternatives such as liposuction. Please be aware that if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and those with systemic illnesses are not suitable for the treatment.
How long does the Aqualyx treatment last and how many treatments will I need?
Aqualyx is a permanent treatment, providing that you maintain a healthy diet and regularly exercise. Often people will require 2-3 treatments every 4-6 weeks, but this will be unique to you and will be discussed in depth when you have a consultation at the clinic.
Is there any downtime after the Aqualyx treatment?
Once you have had Aqualyx you must not apply any cosmetics to the area for at least 12 hours and avoid direct sources of heat or radiation (sunlight, UV-radiation, sauna etc). You should also abstain from demanding physical exercise for 7 days after the treatment. Bruising is normal and should subside within a few days. It is crucial that you adhere to a strict healthy diet after treatment as the broken-down fat is converted into additional energy and could be stored otherwise in your body in an alternative place.
Are there any side effects to the Aqualyx treatment?
Expected side effects include swelling the redness of the area. There may also be moderate pain, itching, pressure sensitivity and haematoma formation.
Possible but vary rare adverse effects include dizziness, allergic reaction, permanent redness of the skin, hyperpigmentation, lumps or dents in the treated area and permanent damage of nerve tissues as well as inflammatory reactions and infections that may result in irreversible scarring.
